Dr John Mulcahy, an Australian businessman, was previously the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Suncorp-Metway Ltd, the largest general insurance group and fifth largest Australian bank (as at September 2009). Previously he held a number of senior roles within the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, including the role of Group Executive, Investment and Insurance Services. Prior to joining the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, he held a number of senior roles during his 14 years at Lend Lease Corporation, including Chief Executive Officer, Lend Lease Property Investment, and Chief Executive Officer, Civil and Civic.
